March was one long exciting adventure that began with a rukus called the Women Who Rock conference. I had the deep pleasure of flirting and sitting next to the Un F’king Believably talented and Gorgeous Medusa. You know THE Medusa, What you don’t know her? Okay, this Medusa.
Medusa is a respected feminist musical pioneer who is known as the “God Mother of west Coast Hip Hop” and she flirted with little ole’ me. I was happy all weekend!
I also got to meet Alice Bag we got to hang out and talk about her new book Violence Girl and enjoy her performance of “Saturday Night” by Elton John during which Suzanne Bernardi and I found ourselves screaming into the mike Alice had shoved in our faces. Punk Rock women are so awesome. Alice was the lead singer of The Bags, the first female-fronted punk band to play the Masque during the West Coast punk revolution of 1977.
I took my remaining small paintings from the “Diary of a Clitorist” show to sell and had a little table. I still have several of these pieces for sale, let me know if you are interested. ( Most of them are $50). I also had the great luck to have my workshop: Recipe for an Autonomous Punk Yoniverse: “Art Sluts” in the Kitchen videotaped by the sassy and delightful Ms. Audrey Brown who has been driving me on my out of town trips and is now calling herself my sidekick (we are working on the superhero costumes!)

The first image is Audrey and me with the Third Place Books Bear. Audrey, it turns out, loves the Art Sluts music and asked me to have some of it. This inspired me to reconnect with Pamdemonium and Ann Wood Delay to talk about creating an Art Sluts website. Keep it on the downlow but if you want some Art Sluts music, I know someone who can get it for you, just ask. And speaking of old school punk DIY girlbands: I took Audrey and her friend to see the british rockers “The Raincoats” at Chop Suey. I first listened to them in 1981 “Oddy SHape” was my favorite album. they put on an excellent show!. They were fabulous!
This next picture is my Second Life Avatar:Asteria 23. Zie has been teaching my Introduction to Sacred Sexuality class in Second Life inside the Sacred Cauldron Castle. The castle is the on line location of the Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary which part of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC). The ATC was the 2nd Wiccan church in the USA to receive official 501c3 status from the federal government. The Church of All Worlds; a Wiccan Church based on the values and ideas written about in the Robert Heinlein novel “Stranger in a Strange Land” was the first. It has been really amazing and educational to teach in this context and if I say so myself, the class has been thought provoking and paradigm shifting. I made audio files of all the classes and will be editing them for use in the future.
I started teaching at the Lotus Heart Center in Portland a Sacred Sexuality Space run by the fabulous Gabriella Cordova, whom I met at ErosFest in 2009. Gabriella graciously agreed to let me teach at her center for free for 3 months to help me generate a regular group of students and peers in the Portland area. I have been doing a series of Salon events called Re-Membering Aphrodite on either the 1st or 2nd Thursday of the month. I have already met a wonderful group of people there who feel like community. The Lots Heart Center is a Temple and it is so perfect to finally find a teaching venue that already resonates with my intentions for teaching Sacred Sexuality andproviding Sexual Healing.
Other highlights of March: Gabriella and I are creating an event called Ecosexual Symposium based on the works of Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens whose new website www/SexEcology.com and Ecosexual Pledge to love the planet are featured in the media stream. Christopher Ryan whose Sex at Dawn is on every Sex Positive persons’ must read list and Deborah Anapol who has been teaching and embodying ethical polyamory and tantra for over 20 years are the confirmed keynote speakers. Set aside June 29,30 & July1 for Portland cause the other 20 workshops are sure to be reality shifting as well. If you know of environmental activists, sacred whores, mycophiles, stardust dreamers, dirt lovers, water worshippers, IT akashic readers and others who are dedicated to keeping us in balance here on Momma Gaia, be sure to let them know they can join us in organizing or teaching at this event. More info soon.
I want to send a special shout out to all the men in my life who have helped me heal and become a whole human being. I am especially present to the gifts of David B., David C., David W., Daniel C., Bruce B., Colin E., Mark Z. and finally to my new partner Mark Welch who has been supporting me and loving me in ways I did not know I needed to be. Mark and I have been falling in love and startling each other for a while now but in the last two weeks I have come to see him as a place where I belong. I am stunned, moved and deeply happy. I am delighted, frightened and humbled. Thanks sweetie for being willing to “suit up and show up” as my dear friend Kathy McKeever says. And put on your seat belts folks, It’s gonna be a wild ass ride!
Love you and your work Ter!
Totally interested in the Ecosexual Event!
love and pleasure,
